“We spend too much time worrying and talking about what we can’t have. Isn’t it time to get curious and start exploring?“
How did you get on with your #1 exercise? What did you discover about your dream job? What did you discover from sharing with your buddy? Was it exciting or strange? Did you feel inspired, disappointed or stuck? Well, I know dreaming about your job is not something you do every day. I certainly did not use to. But then I thought why not? Why don’t I just get curious and find out what would my dream job look like? So I did, and this was when things started to change.
“Every person can be successful, wealthy and happy. The question is are you curious enough to find out how to make it happen?“
So what’s next? It’s simple. Just get curious. What do I mean by that? Well, what about being totally free, self-expressed and courageous in your thinking? You are curious when you awake your child-like curiosity and start playing with the ideas without any constraints. If you could have any job in the world, what would you choose? What would you do? Would you become a well-paid singer? Would you become a famous architect? Would you become a nurse? Would you become a firefighter? Or would you run your own business? For now, don’t worry if the job you imagine is possible for you to get.
Step #2 coffee break exercise:
- Dream: If you could have any job in the world, what would you choose? What would you do? What would inspire you? Be playful and write down at least 10 jobs.
- Think about your childhood. What did you want to become when you were a child?
- Share with your buddy about your dream job and stay curious. Ask her or him what is their dream job? Supporting each other will help you find your dream job and it’s fun to do it together.
