“You can get more money, more success, more recognition but you can’t get more time. ”

I hope that being unique and discovering what makes you different from others no longer scares you (see step #20). Knowing what makes you unique is a great start, but the real progress starts coming when you start living up to your greatness and uniqueness. By staying in a job that you hate, you are actually saying NO to being in your dream job. You are saying NO to being in a job that actually enhances your talents, that contributes to fulfilling your life aspirations and doing something worthwhile that you actually want to do.

“Successful people don’t focus on finding more time. That’s impossible. They make decisions on how they invest their time.”

So, how can you use your time to boost your confidence, career and success? Simply, by consciously investing your time into activities, jobs, and ventures that allow you to do what you love, that enhance your potential and that are aligned with your life aspirations. Consequently, that means making a decision if you want to invest your time in a job you hate? Your time is limited and the choice how you use it is only yours.

Step #21 coffee break exercise:

  • Blog pictureThink about your current job and list down 10 most important tasks that you do as a part of your job.
  • Look at these tasks again and review:
    • how much do you enjoy doing them?
    • how much do you engage your unique talents and skills?
    • how much do these tasks contribute in fulfilling your life aspirations?
  • Share about your discoveries with your buddy.  Supporting each other will help you find your dream job and it’s fun to do it together.
